Presentation of FTMO
Foundation: FTMO was founded in 2015 and is based in Prague, Czech Republic.
Objective: The objective of FTMO is to find and train talented traders, providing them with the capital necessary to trade on the markets financial.
Evaluation and financing model
FTMO offers a 2-step process to evaluate and finance traders:
Step 1: FTMO Challenge
Profit Target: Traders must achieve a profit target of 10% of the starting capital without a set deadline.
Loss Limit: Traders must adhere to limits of 5% maximum daily loss and 10% maximum total loss. If these limits are crossed the challenge is lost.
Trading Rules: Traders must also follow certain trading rules, such as maintaining a minimum number of 5 days of active trading.
Step 2: Verification
Reduced profit target: In the verification phase, the profit target is reduced to 5% of the starting capital, again without any time limit.
Loss Limits: The same daily and total loss limits apply.
Trading Rules: Trading rules remain in place, and traders must demonstrate prudent risk management and consistency in their performance.
Step 3: Funded FTMO account
Funded Account: Upon successful verification, traders receive a funded account with capital provided by FTMO.
Profit sharing: Traders can keep a significant portion of profits made in this account (up to 90%), while FTMO keep the rest.
Benefits of FTMO
Capital provided: Traders can access substantial capital without risking their own funds. The maximum is $400,000 (2 accounts of 200K).
Profit sharing: Traders keep a large portion of the profits, which can be very lucrative.
Flexibility: Traders can use their own trading strategies as long as they follow the risk management rules of FTMO.

Conditions of participation
Fees: Traders must pay a fee to participate in the FTMO Challenge, but these fees are refunded once the trader passes the assessment process and receives a funded account.
